Our Mission
Project Wildlife & Sanctuary, provides rehabilitation services to injured and orphaned wild animals in the Western Kansas region. Our core work is the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife, supported by dedicated volunteers, our veterinarian partners, and an engaged community.
Started in 2024, we’re dedicated to helping hundreds of animals return to the wild each year. We hope to create an education and outreach program in the future.
Project Wildlife & Sanctuary also has domestic and farm animal rescues from across the Midwest. In 2018 Larissa Munsch started taking in unwanted, neglected, and kill pen animals. These animals have long term, forever homes, here at the sanctuary. With only 5 acres of land, we are currently only taking in smaller farm animals to our sanctuary.
Why does this matter?
When people learn about the hardships animals face each day, they are more willing to take a proactive approach toward protecting the natural environment and the habitats of our wild neighbors. At Project Wildlife, we are challenging homeowners, teachers, students and businesses to continue learning about our environment and enriching the lands in which we live and play.
