Volunteer
Add your skills to ours! As a volunteer, there are several ways you can help Your time is what we need most, as well as any special skills you may have
We need people to assist with the feeding, cleaning and care of the animals; this is mostly during the daylight hours, but occasionally night feeding shifts. We provide all training and all supplies.
We need volunteers for transport. You could make yourself available for on call emergencies. This involves picking up animals and transferring them where needed or to a release site. Being able to rescue animals and then release them back to their natural environment is a rewarding experience. Training and equipment are provided.
We also need volunteers with good customer service skills willing to answer our hotline. Take phone calls about potential orphans, sick or injured animals. Help determine if the animal really needs intervention. Training provided.
We need release sites! When an animal is ready to be released back into the wild, we can’t just open the door at our location. We may need to find a heavily treed area, a large pond or lake, or an area with lots of brush, shrubbery and rocks. If you have land with these items, we could use your help. Occasionally, we need people to leave out food, monitor the animal/s that were released. If this sounds like the right fit, please reach out to us.
Other Functions
Skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for fundraising, education, grant writing, graphic design, general office support and public speaking can also be used to help us build a great team for the animals!
